This functionality allows the operator to add a channel in a zone of the piece.
The interface for this function resembles the following image:

Parameters
Distance from cut | The operator must insert the distance in mm that he wants from one of the piece's borders. |
Cut thickness | The operator must insert the thickness in mm of the channel working. |
Depth of cutting | The operator must insert the depth in mm of the channel working. |
Start Distance | The operator can insert the distance in mm from the reference cut of the channel. |
End Distance | The operator can insert the distance in mm from the reference cut of the channel piece. |
Automatic Drip system | The operator can decide if to make drip system automatic on the piece after having created the channel. |
Thickness | Thickness of the material. |
Start distance, end distance and automatic drippers can be active or off with the buttons on the right of the value.
In case they are off, Parametrix does not take them into account, while when they are on, the program calculates the displacement.
Execution of working
Channel with start and end distance disabled
The channel is created at a distance of 250mm from the selected cut and it extends for the entire length of the piece with a thickness of the machining of 100mm and a depth of the cut of 10mm.

The channel is created at a distance of 250mm from the selected cut, with a processing thickness of 100mm and a cut depth of 10mm.
As it can be seen having put a start distance of 100mm, the channel starts at 100m from the selected cut.

The channel is created at a distance of 250mm from the selected cut, with a processing thickness of 100mm and a cut depth of 10mm.
As it can be seen having put an end distance of 100mm, the channel finishes to 100m from the selected cut.

Channel Working with drip system automatic enabled
Drip systems are automatically added to the piece (for drip systems see chapter 3.12.2).
The drip systems are positioned midway between the channel working and the closest cut.
