Selection tool type

Each tool type has a tool selected, as visible in the following example image:

11.03.png
10.02.png

Disk
List of disks that can be mounted on the main spindle of the machine.
'Disk 400' with diameter 400.0 mm is currently installed.

10.00.png

Tools
List of tools (mills and drills) that can be mounted on the secondary spindle of the machine.
'Milling cutter 26' with diameter 26.0 mm is currently installed.

The background of the 'Disk' type appears light blue because it is the currently selected tool category.
It is sufficient to click the rectangle of the tool type desired, to update the underlying list of tools with those available for that type.
As consequence of the tool type change, it will be automatically selected as shown in the previous example image.

List of tools present for selected tool type

The tool list shown as an example in the next image has four disks: 'Disk 400', 'Disk 625', 'Disk 2755' and 'Disk 325'.
The first disk of the list is the one currently mounted on the machine, this is highlighted by the light green background and the green checkmark.
In the right section, are shown the parameters relative to the selected tool.

List items

6.01.png

Tool type
Represents the type of the tool (disk, milling, drill).

7.00.png

Main tool information
The information of the tool is shown: name (top) and diameter (bottom).

0.08.png

Force tool
It allows the operator to indicate to the program which tool is currently mounted on the machine.
It is used in the case in which it has been changed manually.

Search Filters

In the bottom part of the tools list is present a search bar composed from the following elements:

The elements that compose the research filter are illustrated below:

Icona_cercaInfo_-_Copia-20250307-155417.png

Button search by tool name
If this button is pressed, the search mode by tool name will be activated and the search button for diameter will be disabled.

Icona_cercaInfo_-_Copia_(2)-20250307-155302.png

Button search for tool diameter
If this button is pressed, the search mode for diameter will be activated and the search button for tool name will be disabled.

pulsanteFiltro.png

Button to cancel the applied filter
It becomes selectable only if a filter has been previously applied, its pressure empties the search bar of text and restores the view with all the tools of the currently selected type.

Lower bar

The bottom bar of the tool list offers functionalities to add and remove tools from the list.

pulsantePiu.png

Add tool
With this button it is possible to create new tools, a dedicated window will be opened illustrated below.

pulsanteMenoEMenoDisattivo.png

Delete tool
With this button is possible to delete the tool selected.

NOTE

It is not possible to remove from the list the tool currently mounted on the machine (indicated with the green check).

pulsanteCopiaUtensile.png

Duplicate tool
Allows to create a new tool duplicating the parameters of the currently selected tool.
The new tool will have the same name of the previous followed by the word 'Copy'.

Add tool

Through this window the procedure of creation of a new tool is carried out. The required parameters change based on the type of the tool that you want to create.
The following image shows the window of creation of a new tool for available type:

List of parameters for selected tool

In this list are reported all parameters relative to the tool currently selected.
Each variation of the selection of the currently selected tool will allow the operator to view the updated values for the desired tool and to make changes to each value.
The list of parameters and their values will also be updated when a different type of tool (Disk / Tools) is selected, showing the values of the selected tool for each category.

Disk parameters

Below are shown the parameters associated to a disk.

8_disco-20250828-112311.png
0.04.png

Name
Name of the tool to which the parameters currently visible are associated.

0.03.png

Diameter
Measure of the maximum diameter of the tool.

0.05.png

Disk thickness
Measure of the disk's thickness, to be measured on the teeth.

0.00.png

CRF - Flange Rotation Center
Distance of the disk tooth’s internal wire from the C rotation axis.

0.01.png

Junction Quote
Safety quota that the machine takes into account to make placements when it executes automatic programs.

0.07.png

RPM
Indicates the maximum spindle rotation speed in revolutions per minute.
This value is associated to 100% of the command disk potentiometer.

0.02.png

Internal water
Allows to enable or disable the use of internal water during workings.

NOTE

For disk type tools it will be always disabled.

0.06.png

External water
Allows to enable or disable the use of internal water during workings.

NOTE

For disk-type tools it will always be enabled.

Disk rotation speed

To the right of the RPM parameter is located the following button:

infoOff.png

RPM Information
Allows to view the table with the conversion from speed in RPM.

In this window is shown a table containing the conversions from rotation speed to RPM based on the disk diameter selected.
The recommended values for the selected disk are highlighted in green.

Parameters milling cutter and hole

Below are shown parameters related to tools such as milling cutters and drill bits.

8_fresa_foretto-20250828-114715.png
0.09.png

Tool length
Indicate the distance of the tool tip to a point taken as reference.

Tool probing

If the machine has the optional tool keyboard tool, it is possible activate the procedure from this panel.
Allow to start a cycle through which it is possible to calculate the diameter, in the case of disk, or the length, for milling and drills.

11.00.png

Buttons

On the right side of the panel is present one of the following buttons.

1.0.png

Start disk keyboard
Allows to start the cycle of probe for the measurement of the diameter of the disk mounted.

2.2.png

Start secondary tool probing
Allows to start the keyboard cycle for the measurement of the secondary tool length mounted.

NOTE

The button for the disk's keyboard is available only inside the 'Disk' section of the panel.
The button for the check of the secondary tool is available only inside the 'Tools' section of the panel.

Procedure

To measure the diameter of the disk, or the length of the drill/milling cutter currently mounted on the machine, press the corresponding button in the right section of the panel.
At the end of the cycle, the program automatically updates the data corresponding to the probed tool measurement.
