This functionality allows the operator to add a lower cut with respect to a selected cut, on the selected piece.
The interface for this function looks like the following image:

Parameters
Distance from cut | The distance from the selected cut to the lower cut processing. |
Depth cutting | It is the penetration depth on the material. |
Start Distance | The distance inward with which the working is created with respect to the start of the cut. |
End Distance | The distance inwards with which the working is created with respect to the end of the cut. |
Start distance and end distance can be active or off with the buttons on the right of the value.
In case they are off, Parametrix does not take them into account, while when they are on, the program calculates the displacement.
Start Distance and End Distance
These parameters can be active or off with the buttons on the right of the value. If they are gray (off) Parametrix does not take them into account, while when they are green (on - as in the figure) the program calculates the shift.

Execution of working
It is possible to apply the working by pressing the button on the left of the appropriate cut in the polygons list.
An icon red with a 'X' indicates that the process cannot be applied to the desired cut.
Based on the processing parameters set, a lower cut is inserted parallel to the cut of the selected piece.

In the following image there has been illustrated a drip system working, realized with the same parameters of the previous example.

In both examples the working was applied to the lower straight cut.
Furthermore, it has been added to the list of 'Additional Workings', located in the bottom left part of the 'Edit piece' panel.
