This function allows the operator to perform workings on the surface of the material.

Working types

To use this working, first select one of the two available modes by pressing the corresponding button:

NOTE

The 'Rectangular surface' and 'Zigzag surface' modes are mutually exclusive: enabling one automatically disables the other.

2.3-20250702-115519.png

Rectangular surface
The machine will perform parallel passes to move across the surface.
The disk is used for this working.

3.3-20250702-115539.png

Zigzag surface
The machine will perform zigzag passes to move across the surface.
The milling cutter is used for this working.

Parameters

Axis C Rotation

Determines the working orientation, which can be horizontal (0_) or vertical (90_) relative to the work surface.

NOTE

The '0_' and '90_' modes are mutually exclusive: enabling one automatically disables the other.

Pass Extension

Each cut generated by this working is extended at both the start and end by the length specified by this parameter.

Depth cutting

Indicates the depth of the working in the material.

Executing the working

NOTE

The working can be applied by pressing the button to the left of the appropriate cut in the polygon list.
A red icon with an 'X' indicates that the working cannot be applied to the desired cut.

Executing Rectangular Surface

After setting the working parameters, select a side of the piece on which to perform the working.
The cuts will be made from bottom to top.

Executing ZigZag Surface

After setting the working parameters, select a side of the piece on which to perform the working.
The cuts will be made from bottom to top.

Slab working parameters

The operator can change the parameters related to surface workings from the slab working parameters panel.

This screen shows the working parameters for “Rectangular surface” mode.

9.2.1-20250702-133450.png

Parameter description

4.1_c-20250703-065057.png

Distance between forward passes
Represents the distance between the forward pass and the following return pass.

4.2_c-20250703-065231.png

Distance between return passes
Represents the distance between the return pass and the following forward pass.

4.3_c-20250703-065258.png

Forward passes only
When enabled, all passes will be performed in the forward direction, i.e. from left to right across the piece.

4.4_c-20250703-065325.png

Return passes only
When enabled, all passes will be performed in the return direction, i.e. from right to left across the piece.

4.5_c-20250703-065355.png

Raise disk at end of pass
When enabled, the disk is raised at the end of each pass.

4.6_c-20250703-065456.png

Piston pressure
Allows piston pressure on the material to be enabled and its intensity to be set

NOTE

The parameters for passes in a specific direction are mutually exclusive.
If either one is enabled, the program also requires disk lifting at the end of the pass to be enabled.

Speed parameter description

5.1_b-20250313-160704.png

Plunge
Determines the speed during the tool penetration phase into the material.

5.2_b-20250703-061911.png

Forward
Indicates the desired speed for the forward cutting phase.

5.3_b-20250703-061803.png

Back
Indicates the desired speed for the return cutting phase.

Zigzag surface

This screen shows the working parameters for “Zigzag surface” mode.

9.3.1-20250703-060757.png

Parameter description

6.1_c-20250703-070354.png

Distance between forward passes
Represents the vertical distance between the starting point of the diagonal pass and its end point in the forward direction.

6.2_c-20250703-070442.png

Distance between return passes
Represents the vertical distance between the starting point of the diagonal pass and its end point in the return direction.
