The Machining parameters (advanced) button allows users to check and change various parameters.

Profile types

The first operation is to select the profile type to be used:

4.5.1.1_b-20250804-085943.png

Linear
A linear cut is performed.

4.5.1.2_b-20250804-090056.png

Curved
A curved cut is performed.

The following parameters can then be set:

Machining

This can be cutting or sweeping.

Machining orientation

Machining can be performed vertically or horizontally.

Profile direction

Along X or Y.

Machining Data

Linear profile

The following parameters can be set for a Linear profile:

Material thickness

Defines the material thickness measurement (in mm).

Profile inclination (mm)

Defines the profile inclination by specifying the height difference between the end point and the start point.

Curved profile

For a Curved profile, the parameters configured in the previous steps are available.

Both profiles

Both profiles also have the following machining data in common:

Step

Fixed in Y: maintains a fixed distance between the cuts regardless of the underlying section.
Along the chord: the step refers to the distance between the contact points on the section, so the movement changes according to the section slope.

Cut direction

Choose between “Y_” and “Y-“.

Complete profile machining

Selects whether or not to machine the entire profile.

Force cuts at corners

Adds cuts at points where the slope changes.

Remove overlapping cuts

If this flag is enabled and the “Step” value is greater than the “Thickness” value, overlapping cuts are removed.

Optimised step (dressing) % Overlap

If the “Step” value is less than the “Thickness” value, the step is optimised on horizontal lines.

Perform cut at start

Selects whether or not to perform a cut at the start of the profile. The depth of this cut can be set using the adjacent box.

Perform cut at end

Selects whether or not to perform a cut at the end of the profile. The depth of this cut can be set using the adjacent box.

Tool data

The screen displays data already configured in the previous steps and tool-specific parameters.

4.5.3.0-20250804-092838.png

Tool description

A brief description of the tool.

4.5.3.1.0-20250804-093318.png

Tool magazine
Opening this panel allows users to manage the tools: new tools can be created, existing tools can be edited, their order in the list can be changed and they can be removed.

Position No.

Indicates the position number of the selected tool in the magazine.

Corrector No.

Indicates the number that identifies the name of the selected tool.

Blade core thickness (SA)

Thickness of the blade's central supporting body.

Tooth shape

The operator can choose one of three tooth shapes:

  • Square

  • Spherical

  • Chamfered (the chamfer values can be defined in this case)

Select material
This button, located immediately to the left of the penetration speed value, allows users to select one of the following materials:

  • Granites with a high quartz content

  • Granites with a low quartz content

  • Marble

  • Travertine

  • Sandstones

Priority

A priority value can be set (it must be positive).

Depth

Indicates the tool cutting depth.
